Shanghai's Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park hosted the Energy Chemistry and Nanomaterials session of the 22nd Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP), held from November 2-3. Focused on advancing theoretical research, technological innovation, and applications in these vital fields, the event featured an address from Jiang Pengju, deputy mayor of Changzhou.

Founded in 2001, the CIEP serves as China's leading platform for international collaboration in science, technology, and talent exchange. With this year’s theme, "Gathering Global Talent for Collaborative Success," the conference included 48 exchange events across 32 venues in Shanghai. Organized by Changzhou University, the Energy Chemistry and Nanomaterials session brought together 64 experts from 16 countries, including 14 foreign scholars and representatives from Chinese companies, who presented pioneering research on efficient energy conversion, smart manufacturing, and advanced materials. Changzhou city officials also highlighted policies aimed at attracting global talent.

Changzhou's commitment to establishing itself as the "New Energy Capital" has spurred an impressive 40% annual increase in patent applications in this sector over the past four years. The city has facilitated the public listing of 37 new energy companies, reinforcing its position as a leader in sustainable energy innovation and its dedication to fostering high-tech development in the green energy industry.
