Jintan district has unveiled the Sino-Italian (Changzhou) Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, a landmark project established under a cooperation agreement between the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and the Management Committee of Jintan Hua Luogeng High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. This marks the chamber’s second industrial park in Jiangsu province, further solidifying its presence in the region.

The industrial park spans 7.67 hectares, with a total floor area of 38,000 square meters. It is designed to attract enterprises from Italy, Spain, and Sweden, focusing on industries such as renewable energy, electric vehicles, and smart technologies. The park will offer integrated services, including production facilities, R&D support, exhibition spaces, and tailored policy assistance, to foster innovation and growth for tenant companies.

This initiative builds on Changzhou’s decades-long ties with Italy, which began in 1987 when the city established a friendship-city relationship with Prato, Tuscany. Over the years, nearly 30 Italian companies have invested in Changzhou, making it a pivotal hub for Italian businesses in China.

The project highlights Jintan’s commitment to deepening international collaboration, leveraging the Hua Luogeng High-Tech Zone’s position as a regional economic powerhouse. Officials emphasized the park’s advanced infrastructure and comprehensive service platforms as key enablers for cross-border industrial synergy and innovation.
