Changzhou kicked off an educational campaign on April 1st, with the theme of "Care for Autism: Love Knows No Bounds," and announced the launch of its first art group consisting of young people with autism, the Star Orchestra.

The orchestra was selected to be part of the "Jasmine Fragrance: Spreading Warmth Across Jiangsu" public welfare project, a provincial-level initiative launched by the Jiangsu Disabled Persons' Federation in late 2022.

More than 20 young people with autism have been recruited to form the Star Orchestra's harmonica team, African drum team, and choir. The orchestra, which is based on an electro-acoustic band, will provide year-round training in musical instruments, voice, and art therapy to help these young people develop their social communication skills and overall growth.

At the launch event, the orchestra showcased several wonderful programs, including "Youth Dance" and "Hearing of You from Afar," using music to express their love and appreciation for life.

The "Jasmine Fragrance: Spreading Warmth Across Jiangsu" project covers various professional areas, such as life care, health services, social integration, spiritual comfort, psychological guidance, cultural and sports activities, and mutual assistance for people with disabilities. It is the first provincial-level public service project for the disabled in Jiangsu.
