The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism recently announced 79 key projects for 2025, with a total investment of 100.416 billion yuan, including 22.653 billion yuan allocated for this year.
These 79 projects align with major national strategies, including the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region, the construction of the Grand Canal cultural belt, as well as the long-term planning for the cultural and tourism development in the province.
From the perspective of project location, there is a clear trend of integrated and balanced regional development in Jiangsu. Southern Jiangsu (Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, and Zhenjiang) accounts for 40 projects, central Jiangsu (Yangzhou, Taizhou, and Nantong) has 23 projects, and northern Jiangsu (Xuzhou, Lianyungang, Suqian, Huai'an, and Yancheng) comprises 16 projects.
The department said Jiangsu will further enhance follow-up services for these projects, closely monitor their progress, and facilitate industrial and financial linkages to support high-quality development of the cultural and tourism sectors.
