On the morning of April 30, the 21st Changzhou Rose Exhibition was opened in the Zijing Park, displaying all kinds of Chinese rose and the culture of rose.

Changzhou is one of the five centers of Chinese rose across China. There are more than 50,000 plants of over 1,200 rose varieties in the Zijing Park. The park has won the Award of Garden Excellence by the World Federation of Rose Societies (WFRS). On weekends, the gardening volunteers consisting of nearly a hundred people will be divided into different teams to carry out activities in the park, learning rose planting and pruning knowledge and skills, so as to provide technical guidance and services for local communities and schools.

In the opening ceremony, the "I Love the City Flower" welcome activity for volunteers was held at the same time. Meanwhile, the rose “adoption” contest was launched, from which 10 representatives of the public “adopted” rose plants.

This exhibition will last 23 days. Since the average temperature is slightly high this spring, the overall flowering period of roses in Changzhou is about one week earlier than previous years. Currently, the roses in Zijing Park are blooming gorgeously.
